Mercedes-Benz GLB, EQC and GLS All in One Spy Video

It looks like Mercedes-Benz is really focusing on its sport utility vehicles. A new spy video caught the Mercedes-Benz GLB, EQC and GLS in action.

Mercedes-Benz GLB

The Mercedes-Benz GLB features a compact body not that different with the GLA. However, the GLB seems to put more emphasis on functionality giving it a more utilitarian look than the GLA. This presents a good alternative for people who are after a crossover with more legroom and cargo space. It is rumored that the GLB will come in different trims that provide five up to seven-seating capacity.

The GLB is riding on the MFA2 platform, which is now being used by the latest A-Class. The compact SUV will likely offer the same level of interior quality, tech and engines with the A-Class. An all-electric and hybrid powertrain for the crossover are likely, too.

Mercedes-Benz GLS

The video showcases the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLS. That means it will have significant changes unlike when it was merely a renamed Mercedes-Benz GL with only a minor facelift.

The upcoming GLS will also depart from its current platform, which will allow it to shed off a lot of weight. A Mercedes-Maybach version of the GLS is expected to come out after. It will probably carry some of the ultra-luxurious elements we’ve seen in the Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury.

Mercedes-Benz EQ C

The video shows the EQ C keeping a very low profile as it follows the GLB. The two appear to have the same dimensions, but the EQ C has a more seeping roofline than the GLB.

Mercedes remains tight-lipped on the EQ C. However, if the compact electric crossover remains true to its concept, it will be equipped with two electric motors capable of producing a total of 402 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The battery of the concept EV boasts a 311-mile electric range at full charge.
