10 Facts About the New Mercedes-AMG C63 Saloon, Estate, Coupe and Cabrio

The updates on the C-Class lineup continue. After the facelifted Mercedes-AMG C43 Saloon and Estate at the recent Geneva Motor Show, the updated Mercedes-AMG C63 Saloon, Estate, Coupe and Cabriolet models made their way to the 2018 New York Auto Show.
Here are 10 key facts about the updated Mercedes-AMG C63:
1. Trims
The Mercedes-AMG 63 series is available in two variants, the C63 and C63 S.
2. Engine
Both the Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S carry a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine.
3. Power
The V8 unit of the C63 is capable of delivering 476 hp at 5,500-6,250 rpm with 650 Nm of torque at 2,500-5,000 rpm. The C63 S has 510 hp at 5,500-6,250 rpm with torque of 700 Nm.
4. Transmission
The C63 and C63 S come with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission with wet start-off clutch. It promises faster response for the cars.
5. Performance
The setup of the Mercedes-AMG C63 Saloon allows it to run from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds while the C63 S can do that in 4 seconds. Then, the C63 and C63 S Estate and Cabriolet models can cover that range in 4.2 seconds and 4.1 seconds, respectively. On the other hand, the C63 and C63 S Coupe have the best 0-100 km/h runs at 4.0 seconds and 3.9 seconds, in that order.
6. Exterior
Taking off from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the AMG C63 models distinguish themselves with their vertical louvres in front, air inlests with fins, A-wing design in the front apron, sporty side skirts, rear diffuser, quadruple tailpipes and light-alloy sports wheels with sizes measuring 18 inches and 19 inches.
7. Interior
The cabin of the AMG C-Class is adorned with ARTICO leather and DINAMICA microfiber. Black piano lacquer and aluminum trims further highlight its interior. It can be upgraded with the optional package that include sports seats, nappa leather combined with various accents and topstitching.
8. Tech
The mood of the driver and passengers is improved in the new AMG C63 with its Energizing Comfort features, wide infotainment screen and easy-to-personalize digital cluster.
9. Pricing
Mercedes hadn’t officially announced the pricing of the Mercedes-AMG C63 units yet. However, based on the website of AMG, the most affordable in the current series is the C63 Saloon at $40,250.
