The smart forfour crosstown edition made its Asian premiere at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. It may have been outshined by the Mercedes-Benz luxury cars that hit the event like the new S-Class and Concept A, but the compact car left its mark in China with its amazing features.

Here are the 3 key features of the smart forfour crosstown edition based on a Daimler press release:

1. Exterior

Aside from the forfour crosstown with the graphite grey finish and black tridion safety cell shown here, which was also displayed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, customers will have more body paints to choose from for their compact cars. The smart Brabus tailor made program can further expand their options with the thousand of different color combinations they can select from.

The forfour crosstown comes fitted with H4 halogen headlights, LED fiber-optic DRLs, LED taillights, fog lights with cornering system, rain and light sensor, chrome tailpipe, tinted windows and black, 16-inch, 8-Y-spoke alloy wheels. The wheels are wrapped in 185/50 R 16 front tires and 205/45 R 16 rear tires. The height of the vehicle is reduced to 10mm, thanks to its sports suspension.

2. Interior

The interior leather surfaces of the four-door smart car can be personalized with various color themes too using the Brabus tailor made program. Then the driver’s side gets a 3-spoke sports steering wheel plus stainless steel sports pedals padded with rubber studs. The entertainment system of the car is highlighted by its climate control, AUX/USB interface, Bluetooth operation with hands-free function and music streaming.

3. Engine

The forfour crosstown is powered by a 90 hp engine. The output of the unit is distributed via a five-speed manual gearbox. The auto can hold up to 35 liters in its fuel tank. The source said the combined fuel consumption of the small vehicle is 4.3l/100 km while its combined CO2 emissions is at 99 g/km.
