It’s only a few hours until the calendar hits 2016. While waiting for the new year, let’s take a look at one of the upcoming models of Mercedes-Benz, the C-Class Coupe.
In the US, the standard models of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe that will be hitting Mercedes dealerships in the spring of 2016 are the C300 and the C300 4MATIC Coupe. The cars will be carrying a 2017 model year. These are characterized by their sporty, athletic and sensual styling that make the coupe more seductive than its sedan counterpart. Of course, the range also carries a pretty decent engine that contributes to its amazing performance on the road.
Key Features
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe carries all the elements that make its sedan counterpart one of the bestsellers of the three-pointed star brand in the market. The auto is made more agile though by giving it a two door, aerodynamically-optimized design. From the curves, lines, paint finish, and wheels, the car embodies a very sleek design that is visually stunning.
Among the key highlights of the car include advanced light-alloy construction, LED headlights, sport suspension with an optional AIRMATIC suspension, Intelligent Drive featuring ATTENTION ASSIST and COLLISSION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, panorama roofing, mbrace connect system with Remote Start, DYNAMIC SELECT, optional sports package from AMG, 18-inch wheels, and 7-inch COMAND Display screen.
Engine
The standard Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe comes with a turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with aluminum block and head plus direct fuel injection. It is capable of delivering up to 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Power is distributed through a 7-speed automatic transmission gearbox with manual shifting mode.
The power unit enables the C300 to go from zero to 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds. On the other hand, its top speed can reach up to 130 mph.
