Mercedes-Benz Fashion Film Features The CLA

Giancarlo Perlas June 8, 2016

The Mercedes-Benz CLA takes center stage in this new Spring/Summer 2017 fashion campaign from the German brand. Shot by renowned Swedish director Christian Larson, the campaign features the CLA as we have never seen it before.

Try to imagine a teaser from an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller. That’s how the 1:50 video uploaded by Merc on video-sharing site YouTube is going to make you feel.

The video features the campaign’s style rebels and partners—the English musician Eliot Sumner and German model Lucie Von Alten. Both of them are dressed by London-based designer David Koma.

The two emerged from a burning background that begs to question why a facelifted CLA, whose production just started last week, will ever find itself in the middle of the “dark world.”

But that is exactly what this video hopes to showcase—that the CLA, even for all its glory—is as stylish and elegant as it is rebellious in form. Why call such an elegant bodystyle a rebel?

For one, the CLA packs the ECO Start/Stop, which automatically stops the engine at red lights to save fuel, and then fires it back on once the lights turn green.

In terms of aesthetic appeal, no one can hold a candle to the CLA. The style is irresistible and even as the profile looks sleek, it offers a roomy interior for five persons. Not bad for a Mercedes.

In other words, the video justified why such an eye-catching coupe can be such a steal for its eye-opening price. Having the CLA certainly ups your cool factor.
