Peter Parcon May 29, 2016The flagship of the German luxury vehicle manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was upgraded and the facelifted version was spotted recently, as shown on a report from motor1.com. With the updated model features a familiar design, it features a new bumper and redesigned headlights as it prepared to go up against the new BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8. While changes on the luxury vehicle were minimal, it is expected to feature a new bumper along with a redesigned dual exhaust system.
The interior of the new S-Class is quite familiar, but it did go through some tweaks including a redesigned center console featuring a new touchpad controller along with a restyled steering wheel with three spokes. The company also removed the buttons located on the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster to make the display appear more cohesive.
While the engine options for the upgraded S-Class is not expected to change, a model with a number of new six-cylinder inline engine options may be added. The new engines of Mercedes-Benz were supposed to be unveiled together with the E-Class, but reports show that it may be introduced in the range-topping models of the company first.
Since the revelation of the facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is expected near the start of next year, it may be launched during the Geneva Motor Show or the North American International Auto Show.
