Watch Why the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is Such a Beast

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class retained the same look that it had since it first came out. However, it remains a beast both on and off the road.

One video captured by guys who appeared to be riding a Ford Fiesta ST shows the power of the G-Class. The gentlemen were traveling around 62 miles per hour along the highway, when suddenly a black Mercedes-Benz G550 came overtaking by their side.

Now, there’s no shame in that because the G550 is equipped with a powerful 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine. The power unit provides the iconic SUV up to 416 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. All that is distributed through all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox. As a result, despite the heavy frame of the G-Class, it can sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 5.8 seconds.

However, the G-Class displayed its might in a more impressive manner in the video because it was running off-road. It just shows that it does not need an asphalt to run its usual course.

The G550 started several cars behind the red Ford, then in just a few seconds, it already left the vehicle behind.
