Mercedes-Benz Will Highlight Mercedes me, E-Class, IAA at CES 2016
Giancarlo Perlas January 4, 2016Gone were the days when the Consumer Electronics Show only centered on computers, mobile devices, games, and electronic appliances. Now, it is becoming a hub for automakers to showcase the advanced features of their cars.
This year, Mercedes-Benz will once again be one of the focus of the event. The three-pointed star brand will present Mercedes me, under the motto “It’s all about me.”
According to Daimler, the Mercedes exhibition stand at CES 2016 will offer visitors a way to immerse themselves in the individual world of Mercedes me. It will allow them to see how the various digital lifestyles of people today are integrated with the future intelligent cars of the brand.
Among the highlights of the brand will be the all-new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Visitors will get to experience the tech-riddled interior of the upcoming car, which offers the very first Parking Pilot system of the company. Included in the demo are the high-resolution displays of the auto, touch controls, as well as smartphone integration that features capacitive aerial coupling and wireless charging.
Another Mercedes product that will be gracing the event will be the Concept Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile, or the Concept IAA revealed last year at IAA in Frankfurt. Mercedes will use the car to give the audience a glimpse into the future of the User Interface and User Experience Design of the automaker’s future vehicles.
Based on a related report from Fortune, leading automakers like Kia, Audi, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz, will also take the opportunity to once again display their progress in connection to their development of self-driving cars.
