Peter Parcon December 21, 2015The Mercedes Benz GLA is making an appearance on the Super Mario Maker video game of Nintendo, according to a report from worldcarfans.com.
The team-up between the luxury vehicle manufacturer and the video game developer resulted to the creation of a special course on the video game by the German company. The game itself combines elements of the iconic game with an editor mode allowing player to customize levels to explore.
To bring the game a notch higher, the Mercedes-Benz Event Course was developed by the luxury vehicle manufacturer. The level shows Mario taking a GLA out for a test drive from a Mercedes-Benz dealership. An autobahn section and the iconic three-point star of the manufacturer made of red bricks are included in the level.
Mario will encounter a number of surprises in the game according to Mercedes-Benz, including a parking building dubbed as “ParkHaus Madne$$.”
After the level is completed, the Mario Costumes collection of the players will get a Mercedes-Benz GLA. The Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Nintendo of America, Scott Moffitt, said the ability of a luxury car brand, such as Mercedes-Benz, to develop fun courses as well as share them is great.
A promotional video was released by Mercedes-Benz to promote the new level. The video shows the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG and Mario. The luxury vehicle features a four cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine offering 375 HP of power. It also has the seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission system along with an all-wheel drive system facilitating a 0 to 60 mph acceleration within 4.3 seconds.
It can be recalled that the Mercedes-Benz GLA was one of the vehicles players can download for free for Mario Kart 8, which was released last year.
