Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA Reappears In New Images And Videos

New videos and images of the Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA were released recently following its launch in September during the Frankfurt Motor Show, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com.
The concept vehicle or the Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile is a four-door coupe feature a 0.19 drag coefficient along with a body that can be stretched. The body of the concept coupe can be extended up to a maximum of 390 millimeters when it reaches 80 km/h or 50 mph. The aerodynamics of the concept vehicle is further enhanced to increase its fuel efficiency. Industry watchers consider the design of the vehicle as a future CLS. Since the Mercedes-Benz concentrated on enhancing aerodynamics, industry watchers were also astonished at how the luxury vehicle manufacturer was able to produce a rather good-looking concept vehicle.
The S-Class Coupe and S-Class Sedan served as the inspiration for the stylish interior cabin of the Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA. A minimalist approach was used by designers for the layout of the interior making it both neat and functional and it also features does a number of touch-operated functions.
The concept vehicle uses an engine combining gasoline and electric power giving it a total combined power output of 275 HP. The IAA Concept also has a total range of 66 kilometers or 41 miles when it runs completely on electric power. When it is operating as a hybrid, the CO2 emissions of the concept vehicle is limited to 31 g/km, which is rather notable due to the large footprint of the car, which has a length of 5,040 millimeters, width of 1,995 millimeter and height of 1,305 millimeters. Its wheelbase is also at 2,975 millimeters. It should also be noted that the length of the concept vehicle increased to 5,430 millimeters when it is in aerodynamic mode.
While the Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA is just a concept, it demonstrates the technological advancements made by the luxury vehicle manufacturer when it comes to efficiency in aerodynamics, which may have a positive effect on vehicles it will produce in the future.
