Check Out This Lorinser-Tuned Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG
Peter Parcon December 3, 2015The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4MATIC was given a power enhancement by Lorinser in time for the Essen Motor Show, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com.
The tuning specialist aimed to bring the power output of the C450 close to the level of the C63 by enhancing the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V8 engine of the former. The power output was increased to 429 HP from 362 HP after the tuner worked its magic on the engine. On the other hand, the torque of the C450 was increased to 458 lb-ft from 384 lb-ft.
The modification on the C450 AMG costs around $1,632 and reduced its 0 to 62 mph or 100 km/h acceleration rate by 0.3 seconds. Due to this, the C450 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph or 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. However, the electronic speed limiter of the luxury vehicle was not touched by Lorinser as it maintained a top speed of 155 mph or 250 km/h.
In addition to the performance upgrade, Lorinser also gave the C450 AMG a brand new set of 19-inch wheels clad in Continental SportContact6 tires measuring 225/40 R19 in front and 255/35 R19 at the back. Customers have the option to get 20-inch wheels at a price tag of around $11,038. These wheels feature Continental SportContact6 tires measuring 245/30 R20 in front and 265/30 R20 at the back. A suspension lowering kit decreased its ride height by thirty millimeters.
A custom body kit featuring new bumpers in front and at the back, side mirror trims, a rear deck lid spoiler and sports exhaust rear muffler is also available at around $8,455. The interior cabin of the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG can also be enhanced by the tuner providing it with illuminated door sills, custom floor mats and aluminum pedals.
