The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team once again showed the world its dominance in motorsport this year. This year marks the back-to-back Constructors’ Championship and Drivers’ Championship of the group in F1.

To celebrate its continued success in the sport since last F1 season, the three-pointed star marque revealed that it will launch the Mercedes-AMG A 45 Petronas 2015 World Champion Edition. The hatchback is basically inspired by the theme of the latest Mercedes Silver Arrow F1 car.

Similar to the Silver Arrow, the special edition A 45 comes in a silver paint. Then it is highlighted by a pair of petrol green color lines running through its exterior side panels and a part of the hood. The center of its wheels also gets the same color.

Customers can choose among the different shades of grey for the exterior coating of the car. There are various trims available for the leather interior of the auto too including the usual packages offered by AMG.

The Mercedes-AMG A 45 retains the engine specifications of its previous model year. Therefore, it still carries a 2.0-liter turbo engine handcrafted by the performance division of Mercedes. The turbo power unit is capable of producing an output of 381 hp and 475 Nm of torque. The said numbers keep the zero to 100 km/h sprint of the hatchback within 4.2 seconds.
