Mercedes-Benz GLS Photos Leaked

Mercedes-Benz GLS

It’s only a matter of time until the Mercedes-Benz GLS makes its much-awaited debut. Sources say that the luxury SUV will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. However, one forum dedicated to automobiles has already beaten Mercedes to it.

Recently, the photos of the GLS were leaked by a contributor in the French online forum called Worldscoop. One of the pictures shows the front grille, headlights and bumper of the vehicle. The other displays the left side and the rear end of the auto.

Based on the images and as claimed by the site, these were taken from the official brochure of Mercedes-Benz for the GLS.

From the photos, many traces of the Mercedes-Benz GL, the predecessor of the GLS, are still present. The side panels, pillar inclinations, molded lines, and wheel arches of the former were carried by its successor.

However, there seems to be some minor revisions in the hood of the SUV as well as its front grille design, headlights and bumper. It certainly looks more like the relative of the latest S-Class and a notch above the standard GLE now. Going around, the auto also shows a new rear bumper design complemented by its updated diffuser and tail lights.

Other than the two photos featured here, information about the new Mercedes-Benz GLS remains scarce. But taking some notes in the successor of the ML, the GLE, it is likely that the GLS will at least adopt the interior styling of the said vehicle with some new tech and higher-quality of upholstery to emphasize its rank in its hierarchy within the three-pointed star brand.
