Wimmer RS Unveils Tuned Mercedes-AMG C63 S
Peter Parcon September 30, 2015The Mercedes-AMG C63 S has been subjected to upgrades by different tuning specialists in the past. They offered their own take on this range-topping luxury vehicle that has captured the hearts of a good number of Mercedes-Benz enthusiast. One of the latest tuning specialists to introduce their own version of the C63 S is Wimmer Rennsporttechnik, a shown on a report from gtspirt.com.
Wimmer Rennsporttechnik or Wimmer RS upgraded the performance on the car to enhance its already powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The engine of the C63 S is already capable of producing 510 HP of power. However, it appears this was not enough for the German tuning specialist as it optimized the ECU of the engine to increase its power to 640 HP. Aside from optimizing the ECU, Wimmer RS also installed a stainless steel exhaust system that may feature an electronic valve control, depending on the preference of the customer.
While the company did not revealed the acceleration and speed of its project, a standard Mercedes-AMG C63 S is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.1 seconds. It also has a top speed of 250 km/h, which is electronically-limited, of course.
In addition to enhancing the performance of the engine, Wimmer RS also added a brand-new set of 19-inch BBS type CH wheels on the C63 S. The matte black finish of the wheels along with its silver outer rim is expected to catch the attention of any bona fide Mercedes-Benz fan. The wheels are wrapped in a set of sticky performance tires. Wimmer RS also installed a set of KW adjustable coilovers on the Mercedes-AMG C63 S for good measure.
