The MV Agusta F3 800 AMG, which is also known by the moniker Solar Beam.

The fruit of the ties between MV Agusta and Mercedes-AMG was finally unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. During that event, the MV Agusta F3 800 AMG, was showcased.

The motorcycle was christened as the Solar Beam. The inspiration of its design was drawn from the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car.

The superbike carried a yellow finish with black accents similar to the standard color combination found on the Mercedes-AMG GT. Then it came with AMG badges to further highlight the performance division of Mercedes.

The F3 800 has a three-cylinder 12-valve engine with a displacement of  798 cc. The output of its power unit could reach up to 148 PS at 13,000 rpm. On the other hand, its torque is rated at 88 Nm at 10,600 rpm. All that power is distributed through a six-speed gearbox with the Electronically Assisted Shift (EAS) of MV Agusta. These numbers allow the motorcycle to achieve a maximum speed of 269 kilometers per hour.

The superbike weighs around 173 kilos with a combined fuel consumption of 9.6 and 9.3 liters per 100 kilometer. Moreover, its combined carbon dioxide emission rate is at 224 and 216 grams per kilometer.

The AMG-inspired motorcycle costs 15,190 Euros. That offer already includes the EAS and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) of MV Agusta.

Based on sources, the AMG badges were merely a tribute to the performance division of the three-pointed star brand. AMG had nothing to do with the development of the superbike’s engine, and the platform was entirely made by MV Agusta.
