Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition Unveiled
Peter Parcon July 22, 2015Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition earlier this month as a tribute to the C63 AMG Coupe, as indicated on a report from motorward.com. Only ten units of the special Legacy Edition will be released by the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany.
One notable feature of these limited edition luxury vehicles, which can be considered as the swan song of the existing version, is their Viper green color scheme. These vehicles are also the last units to feature the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine since the next version will feature the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the AMG GT.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition will sit on a set of ten-spoke alloy wheels featuring bright red brake calipers. The luxury vehicle also features the carbon fiber rear wing of the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series.
The luxury vehicle manufacturer revealed last year that it will continue to produce the current C63 AMG Coupe model in 2015 after the launch of the AMG C63 range. Industry watchers are anticipating an increase in the value of the existing C63 AMG Coupe models since these are the last ones to feature the naturally-aspirated V8 engine.
The engine is capable of producing 510 HP of power and torque of 450 lb-ft, which are transmitted to the rear wheels through the seven-speed SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission system of AMG. This allows the C63 AMG Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.2 seconds.
All ten units of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition are going to be offered exclusively in the South African market.
