Brabus Mercedes SL Collection Joins The Techno Classica Essen
Peter Parcon April 8, 2015The biggest and best classic car event held in Europe each year is the Techno Classica Essen. It features a good number of classic models made by different vehicle manufacturers around the world. Being a part of this world-renowned event may be considered an achievement in itself. Brabus recently put another feather on its cap as it showcased the Brabus Mercedes SL Collection produced by its Classic department in the event, as indicated on a report from motorward.com.
The event became the venue for the Classic department of the tuning specialist to demonstrate its capability of producing well –restored classic SL models of the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany. The SL collection of Brabus has four of the best vehicle models of Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster, the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda, and the Mercedes-Benz SL 280 R129.
The white-colored 300 SL Gullwing is considered as the godfather of all SL models. This particular restored model featured a red interior, and is clearly the most important member of the Brabus Mercedes SL Collection. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster is considered as the first true SL model while the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda is well-known among classic car enthusiasts. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz SL 280 R129 is the first modern SL Class of Mercedes-Benz.
A number of classic car enthusiasts favor the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda over the three other models in the classic car collection of Brabus. It brings together a timeless design, comfort and convenience one can expect from an excellent-looking drop top luxury cruiser. The 280 SL Pagoda of the Brabus Mercedes SL Collection is not cheap since it has a price tag of around 250,000 Euros.
