One brave soul named Devyn Roseman wanted something more out of his old Mercedes C220 (W202). So, he fitted it with a higher suspension that included long shocks with massive springs, huge tie rods, welded differential, and control arms measuring 4 inches. Then, it was equipped with off-road tires, strong angle iron bumper, massive engine fans, and LED spot light bars. The resulting product was an awesome Mercedes baja car that has no regard whether it is running on the cement or on the dirt.

Additional upgrades in its visuals were also made like logos and tiny flapping flags. Moreover, a loud sound system was installed for extra coolness.

There was no mention about the state of the customized Mercedes’ engine. It does appear that it retained its stock 2.2-liter four cylinder power unit with 148 hp. However, its sound tells that its exhaust system has been tweaked to give off a really loud engine noise. The owner revealed in an interview with Car.Buying that he is planning to set it up in the future with a V8 engine though.

Roseman revealed in the same report that personalizing the Mercedes C220 into a rally car did not cost him much. He said all it took him to finish the work was a little bit of smarts and determination despite his limited resources. Everything was accomplished in his backyard, based on the article.
