See This Awesome Glow-in-the-Dark Mercedes S550

Giancarlo Perlas January 6, 2015

Known tuning companies collaborated in Miami on a new project involving a Mercedes-Benz S550. The car came with a new wrap, wheels, and an engine boost.

The highlight of the group’s work with the Mercedes S550 was its wrap, which featured an artistic blend of colors. The colors used for the wrap were a combination of red, yellow, and green.

Incredibly, the said colors enable the car to glow when in the dark. Also, the patterns change in the dark, and a blue hue is revealed in low lighting conditions or in the absence of light.

The guys who made the cool exterior upgrade of the Mercedes S550 were from Metro Wrapz. It should be noted that the mentioned tuning group were the ones responsible in pimping up Flo Rida’s Bugatti too.

Vossen had its share in the amazing look of the car as well. The company provided the large concave wheels of the auto.

If you think that the exterior is already way too awesome, wait until you open the S550’s hood. Under the bonnet of the car is a Renntech-modified 4.7-liter biturbo V8 engine. No details were released about the output of the car though, but expect it to be somewhere along near the 500 hp range.

The improved Mercedes S550 featuring the combined efforts of Metro Wrapz, Vossen, and Renntech was the highlight of the 2014 Art Basel, which was held in Miami last month.
