Images of a mysterious Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle at the Mercedes-Benz facility emerged recently, as indicated on an autoevolution.com report. The emergence of the images followed an earlier announcement by the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany that it is set to unveil a concept car during the Consumer Electronics Show. However, it may also be possible for Mercedes-Benz to unveil the new concept vehicle during the Los Angeles Auto Show, which is scheduled to be held in the coming month.
The mysterious Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle, which was covered with a tarp, appeared to have a silver body shell. It has a similar size as an S-Class while its body appears to be merged entirely. It also had no signs of a trunk, hood, or fenders. The grille featuring a horizontal bar, which was noticeable under the camouflage, is the only feature similar to the appearance of a typical Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
The Los Angeles Auto Show is normally the venue where the most bizarre concepts are unveiled since a good number of design studios have their headquarters in California. The Vision Gran Turismo sports car, Biome, Silver Arrow and Ener-G-Force SUV made their debut in Los Angeles.
The yellow lines give an indication that the wheels save space, which is similar to the wheels inside the trunk and used whenever one of the wheels become flat. But, it may also be an attempt by the luxury vehicle manufacturer to cover all the details of the Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle. The company may want spy photographers to think that they are developing an electric vehicle or gas-friendly vehicle with the use of thin tires.
The vehicle does not appear to have door handles or side mirrors. Since the Ener-G-Force served as a preview for the G-Class and the AMG GT was influenced by the Vision GT, it may be possible for the mysterious Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle to be a large-sized MPV.
