Rendering Of Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S Emerges
Peter Parcon September 29, 2014Although the latest Mercedes-Benz C63 was unveiled by the luxury vehicle manufacturer only recently, it marks the start of a range of high-performance C-Class luxury vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. A coupe variant of the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 along with a convertible are also expected to be offered in the future. Apparently X-Tomi Design did not want to wait to see how a Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S Coupe will look like as it created its own rendering of the range-topping luxury vehicle, as indicated on a report from gtspirit.com.
When the Luxury vehicle becomes available in the market, industry watchers are anticipating specifications similar to the sedan for the Mercedes-Benz C63 and Mercedes-Benz C63 S. These upcoming luxury vehicles are expected to be promoted in the same market as the Audi RS5, BMW M4 and Lexus RC F Coupe.
The 2015 AMG C63 and Mercedes-Benz C63 S sedans come with a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is similar to the one used on the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The main difference between the engines of the C63 and GT is that the former will not come with dry sump oil scavenging. This means the luxury vehicle will be called the M117 rather than the M178.
The entry-level model of the AMG C63 is expected to offer 469HP of power along with a torque of 479 lb-ft. These figures reflect an increase of 18HP and 37 lb-ft of power and torque respectively when compared to the previous model of the C63 AMG. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S is expected to offer a power output of 503 HP and torque of 516 lb-ft. This is higher than the power and torque offered by the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 507 Edition. The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 is also expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.1 seconds.
