Today (August 15), the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA), together with BMW Car Club of America (BMW CCA) and Audi Club North America will team up to co-host a historic event. The three luxury car clubs will be facilitating the 5th Annual Legends of the Autobahn.

The event also co-sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and other prominent brands, will be held at the grounds of Nicklaus Club Monterey in California starting from 8 AM to 3 PM. The on-site registration starts as early as 6:30 AM, but it should be noted that there was also an online registration held on July 27 up to yesterday. Admission is free for spectators, but there will be a parking fee worth $20 for those who will be bringing in their rides.

The festival will only last a day, and it will showcase the best that German automotive engineering can offer. The featured Mercedes cars are the Type 18/100 model driven by Max Salier in the 1914 Grand Prix, plus the 1978 450 SLC of Rich and Mary Nohr.

For those who would not be able to attend the 2014 Legends of the Autobahn, but would want to be updated about it, there is a smartphone app for it for Android and iOS users. The app named BMW Car Club of America can be downloaded through Google Play or App Store, which contains an exclusive and timely coverage of the event with pictures and feeds from its social club members.
