Introducing the New MEC Design Package for the Mercedes S500
Giancarlo Perlas June 25, 2014MEC Design, one of the world’s popular aftermarket tuning specialists for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has recently revealed its new package for the S-Class, particularly the Mercedes S500. The package from the German tuner focuses on putting styling, aerodynamic and comfort modifications on the exterior and interior of the three-pointed star brand’s flagship product.
The highlight of the customization package is MEC’s all new CC3 wheels. The wheels belong to the meCCon Series of the tuner. These offer inner and outer lip gloss black finishes with luxury grey center with measurements of 10 x 21 and 11.5 x 21. The wheels are fitted with 255 + 295 tires.
The body kit features new front skirts equipped with LED lights, MEC badges, modified grille, “Extreme” diffuser in its rear bumper, plus a rear spoiler. Then, the four-pipe exhaust of the package is made from stainless steel. For added effects on the road, the exhaust carries the “Earthquake” sound version. Also, the kit offers the ELS lowering module with driving dynamic.
Going to the cabin, MEC replaces the standard Mercedes S500 steering wheel with its signature product featuring wood and leather materials. Wood finishing are placed on the car’s side panels, armrest dashboard and middle console as well. Lastly, the floor mats come in velour with edging nubuck leather.
