A lot of Mercedes spy shots have been sprouting this week thanks to some individuals with ninja-like reflexes when using their cameras. Among the latest that have surfaced are the spy shots of the 2016 Mercedes AMG GT while it was taking an endurance test on the Nurburgring tracks.

As we have reported earlier, the 2016 Mercedes AMG GT will have a V8 engine instead of the V6, which is perceived as more fuel-efficient. Tobias Moers reasoned out that he believes that there is still room for tweaking in the V8 that will make it more fuel-efficient.

The biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine of the 2016 Mercedes AMG GT will likely offer an output of more than 600 hp. As for the torque, we are not sure yet about it. However, it will surely come with the AMG seven-speed SPEEDSHIFT dual clutch box plus a couple of enhancements in its driving performance.

The car is still heavily masked in camouflage but we are quite sure that it will feature an awesome aerodynamic package in its bodywork. In addition, its style will be aimed at younger buyers, so express a fresher and sportier appearance with its exterior.

The sports vehicle may come as a disappointment to gullwing fans though, because it will only have traditional doors.

The 2016 Mercedes AMG GT is groomed as a replacement of the SLS AMG GT Final Edition. Based on rumors, it will be unveiled  at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October.
