Mercedes-Benz is PGA of America Patron Partner Through 2017
Ryan Joseph Ramos August 6, 2013Mercedes-Benz has renewed its pact with the PGA of America, which means that it will maintain its Patron partnership with the golfing body all the way through 2017.
The partnership, which was started in 2010, allows the german car brand to stay on as the official patron and the official vehicle of the PGA of America as well as a variety of golf events, including the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, and as the official patron of the 2014 Ryder Cup (US rights in 2014, global rights except Europe in 2016).
In addition, the partnership extension will cover the centennial celebration of the PGA in 2016.
“The partnership with the PGA of America fits perfectly to our global golf strategy – The best or nothing,” said Lueder Fromm, the Head of Global Marketing Communications for Mercedes-Benz Cars.
“We are proud to be the Official Patron of such esteemed tournaments and looking forward to an fantastic week at the 2013 PGA Championship in Rochester.”
As part of the partnership, there will also be furnishings like the ‘PGA Performance Center presented by Mercedes-Benz’ for PGA of America Championship event attendees.
