Mercedes-Benz CLA With Long Wheelbase to Be Offered In China

The Mercedes-Benz CLA that will be available in China will be imported from Hungary. A white testing vehicle was spotted in Shanghai recently sitting at the back of a truck.
This may change in the future since a long wheelbase model of the Mercedes-Benz CLA will be manufactured by Beijing-Benz in China by 2014. The Chinese trend for additional legroom may have compelled the company to design this model of the luxury vehicle. A car with a long wheelbase is reportedly a way of showing respect to family, friends, and colleagues since it gives them more space.
The imported model of the Mercedes-Benz CLA will be unveiled in the Chinese market before the end of the year. The price is expected to be revealed during the November Guangzhou Auto Show, although it is may be around $65,000. Young and rich professionals are expected to find the CLA appealing.
The standard Mercedes-Benz CLA that will be offered in China will feature a 1.6-liter or 2.0-liter turbo engines.
