This August, smart times 2013 Heads to Lucerne

We’re only two months away from the big smart community gathering, as ‘smart times 2013’ is right around the corner. This year, the worldwide fan gathering will take place on Lake Lucerne’s south bank, with the Alps towering in the background. The event will take place from August 23 to 25.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting lots of smart fans, enjoying a great event together and discovering the mountains around Lucerne during the smart parade,” said smart chief Dr. Annette Winkler.
The venue for the smart 15th anniversary is apt because Switzerland is, after all, smart’s place of birth. It’s also seen as a very accessible meeting place that’s right in central Europe.
There’s a very diverse program of activities to make the gathering something special for those who wish to participate. The Friday lineup includes the opening party, as well as a roadster birthday excursion from Lucerne to Engelberg, as it’s the roadster’s 10th birthday. The Saturday lineup includes a car contest, convoy celebrations, and the parade, among other things.
