Mercedes Team Works To Close Gap With Lotus

With the close gap between Mercedes-Benz and Lotus in the finish of China Grand Prix, both teams are looking to take the competition to an all-new level in the upcoming event in Gulf Air Bahrain.
According to Bahrain’s Gulf Daily News, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Kimi Raikkonen of Lotus are among the favorites of the next contest. Currently, Lotus is ahead of Mercedes in the Constructor’s Championship with only 8 points. Lotus is in third place with 60 points while Mercedes follows in fourth place with 52 points.
If Hamilton manages to overtake the position of his rival in Bahrain, then it won’t be long until the championship is in his sights.
In a related news, Nico Rosberg remains similarly focused and as hungry as Hamilton despite being held back during the finish of Malaysian Grand Prix. According to a report from AutoSport, Rosberg is confident that they are in a much better standing now than their situation last year when they were bothered by overheating tyres and some problems in the development stage.
