Di Fonzo Receives Latest Setra Touring Coach
Peter Parcon April 18, 2013Daimler turned over an S 515 HD to Di Fonzo recently at the Customer Center of the vehicle manufacturer in Neu-Ulm. The vehicle is the eightieth Setra bus in the fleet of the Italian bus company. The latest addition is the sixth model of the Setra that has entered the lineup of the bus company that is based in the town of Vasto along the Adriatic coast.
The forty-nine-seat S 515 HD will be operated along European routes by Di Fonzo, which will also use it for interregional services in between Rome and Vasto. During the turnover, Dif Fonzo executive vice president Alfonso Di Fonzo revealed that the company considers the Setra coach as the best vehicle in the market due to its elegance, reliability, and safety features.
The company has evolved from being an ordinary postal mail delivery service into a bus company that operates 140 buses, 60 of which carry the Setra brand.
The ComfortClass 500 model of the Setra bus lineup has become the yardstick when it comes to value, luxury, safety, and efficiency. The streamlined design of the new first-class touring coaches was enhanced inside a wind tunnel during its thorough development process.
The touring coach also offers strength coupled with a considerably lighter weight due to its hybrid lightweight design. It also enhances power and fuel efficiency, adding value to the Setra touring coaches. The Euro 6 emissions standards are already being employed on the ComfortClass 500 model even as its implementation is set to start in 2014.
