KTW Tunes the C63 AMG
Ryan Joseph Ramos March 31, 2013Hildesheim-based tuner KTW Tuning has just outed a C63 AMG-based beast with obvious Black Series influences and aspirations. The tuned car comes with a tweaked engine that gets an output of just a shade under 518 horsepower (386 kW rating, per EU standards).
KTW has also disabled the Vmax speed limiter so that prospective buyers can allow themselves to get lost in all that horsepower. Of course, the idea is that owners will only test their limits at appropriate venues, such as actual tracks or the Autobahn.
The performance tweaks offer a considerable improvement on the 451 hp of the 6.2L V8 engine of the stock Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Aside from the performance tweaks, this KTW C63 AMG has been outfitted with a fresh, emblem-less grille as well as a complement of 20-inch wheels and performance tires.
The package is said to cost 6,599 euros, or around $8,400-plus. That cost includes the tuning package along with the wheel package.
