CLA 2-door Coupe Rendering By T. Chin

As any Mercedes-Benz fan will have noticed by now, the German automaker’s focus is on small but quality luxury cars, which was begat by the A-Class platform. This has now been superseded by models based on the MFA platform, which underpins both the current A- and B-Classes in all is various guises.
But despite an AMG version of the CLA which will feature a 330 horsepower engine and all-wheel drive, the body style looks to remain as a 4-door, for the evident practicality that a small platform dictates. That does not prevent some talented artists like Theophilus Chin from giving us a visual rendering of what a 2-door CLA could look like. And we like what we see. That kind of body would be very fitting for a 300 hp pocket rocket, which would be the perfect weapon for punching through gaps in the traffic of the urban jungle. With Mercedes-Benz’s aggressive campaign toward appealing to the younger set, such a 2-door may yet become a reality.
