Revealed: Another Big Name Set to Go to Mercedes Team
Giancarlo Perlas January 22, 2013Who else is jumping ship? This is a big question nowadays with all the big names going to the Mercedes team.
First, the news was all about Lewis Hamilton being the new team driver. Then, Toto Wolff made the news when he left Williams team to join Mercedes-Benz as the company’s new director of Motorsport.
Now, guess the next big name who is about to jump ship. Paddy Lowe.
The shocking update was revealed this Tuesday by BBC’s leading Formula One analyst and former F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan. According to him, Lowe will be handling a more senior position on the team. That involves managing the group on a daily basis.
Okay, so what does this mean for Ross Brawn who was the man behind the success of the seven-time world champ Michael Schumacher? In a jeopardized position.
Wolff denied the rumors though. He said that if there was one person who should know about it, it would be him. He further stated that he hope Brawn stays with the team because of what he has done for the team and that he has too much respect for him.
On the other hand, McLaren refused to tell their side of the story about Lowe.
