Mercedes-Benz Introduces New A-Class to Record Crowd in France
Ryan Joseph Ramos September 26, 2012Mercedes-Benz presented the new A-Class before a record crowd of more than 60,000 visitors at various Mercedes-Benz dealerships in France. This was right after the showcasing of the vehicle at the Mondial de l’Automobile.
“Our new A-Class is enjoying the most successful market introduction ever at Mercedes-Benz,” said Daimler AG chair and Mercedes-Benz Cars chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche. “And that, despite the fact that it has not even started in the high-volume markets outside Europe yet.”
It’s not surprising that the new A-Class is enjoying a warm reception. It offers a premium look and premium features, making it very appealing for modern buyers, especially in a place where smaller and more compact vehicle models have thrived.
“The feedback from the market is fantastic, and we can foresee a high capture rate,” said Mercedes-Benz France President Till Conrad. “Premieres at the dealerships show us that over 50 percent of the potential customers come from other brands.”
