$500 Thousand Lost on Each Maybach Sold
Clarissa February 21, 2012You all know the reports that Maybach will be shut down in 2013. After 7 years of production, the company was only able to sell 3,000 cars, and according to some sources, Daimler lost around half a million dollars on each piece despite of the hefty $370,00 tag price.
Late last year, rumors went around the blogosphere that Aston Martin will partner with Daimler to resurrect Maybach, however, late 2011, the company decided to stop offering the “ultra-luxury” cars altogether. Instead, a new range of S-Class will fill the void that Maybach will leave.
If this loss is true, then we cannot blame the company for doing this business decision.
