Unveiled in Brussels only last June, Mercedes’ new Actros truck has once again been named Truck of the Year for 2012, making it two years in a row for this commercial vehicle from Mercedes’ truck division. Equipped with the Mercedes OM471 engine, the Actros fully complies with the latest Euro emissions standard. Its highly efficient design also allows it to consume up to 7.6% less fuel, a significant metric when you’re talking about fleet efficiencies.
Said Marcus Breitschwerdt, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz UK, “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award from the International Truck of the Year jury for our New Actros. This award has confirmed our belief that we have created a truly revolutionary vehicle and that all of the testing and development was well worth it.”
