Gallery Shows A Customized Mercedes-Benz G500 Schultz
Peter Parcon July 26, 2015While the Mercedes-Benz G63 is currently the most extreme luxury SUV in the market, another six-wheeled SUV already existed long before the G63 AMG was conceived, the Mercedes-Benz G500 Schultz, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com.
The G500 Schultz was specifically designed by the company of renowned vehicle designer Eberhard Schultz. While it was mainly for military purposes, a number of wealthy Arab customers were also able to get their hands on the G500 Schultz. The workshop of Schultz became famous in the 1980s up to the 1990s due to his work on the vehicles of the German luxury vehicle manufacturer.
The Mercedes-Benz G500 Schultz shown in the gallery was captured in Russia. Prior its capture in Russia, it was used by the inspector-general of the Bundeswehr armed forces. It comes with a 5.0-liter engine offering a 251 HP of power. An automatic transmission system brought this power into the wheels of the vehicle.
The vehicle in the gallery went though customizations as leather seating, an audio system, and wooden panels were added. It also featured a pair of air conditioners, a mini-bar, large-screen television and a phone. These customizations gave the SUV a limousine-like appearance and feel. While the customizations are considered impractical by a number of luxury vehicle enthusiasts, this particular Mercedes-Benz G500 Schultz can be considered as among the most distinctive luxury SUVs in the market today.
