Car Magazine has a few computer illustration on how the next gen E-Class Coupe should look like. If you remember back a few weeks ago, we reported that Mercedes will be replacing the CLK with not only a new generation, but also with a new name - the E-Class Coupe. The E-class Coupe will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in spring 2009.

Does anyone know whether this ‘E-Class Coupe’ is based on the C-Class platform (W204) or the forthcoming E-Class platform (W212)?

I would think W212, but I’m not sure, the current CLK is very close to the current E in dimensions.
