Similar to the Auto123 review that I posted earlier, Car and Driver has driven the new S550 4Matic themselves and have their own opinion about the Mercedes flagship model. I do realize that every review I post about a Mercedes car is positive, which makes people think that I only post the positive and not the negative reviews. I can honestly tell you that I have not come across a review that speaks of a Mercedes model in a negative way; if you do find one, please send it to me because I will post it, until then enjoy this qoute from Car and Driver
Of course, the S550 still feels big and heavy—because it is—and even though the steering and chassis aren’t quite as communicative as competitors’ such as the Audi A8 or BMW 7-series, we think the S550 is the best compromise between sportiness and luxury, which is why it prevailed in a comparison test amongst four of its peers.
