Mercedes-Benz CLR 600 Concept Illustration
I recently read a forum user make a joke about Mercedes, saying that the Mercedes' design department has probably a bet going on, where they try to come up with as many models as possible and see if they will get build. Now I am having the feeling that this is truely the case because Mercedes has been introducing and showing us models that coveres almost every different market segment in the world. Here is another one that would appeal to those that like the current CLS, and its aggressive look, but are fans of a edgier car. This was designed by Mark Hsieh who thinks that this is what the CLR 600, with 600hp and a 5.6 V8 liter engine, from Mercedes will look like. Mark explains that "The overall styling hints Mercedes Benz will look more sinister in the near future according to the current CLS styling."

I am all about an evil and scary look on a car, but this just doesn't represent the current Mercedes design path. It looks more like the next DeLorean that GM will make. Wait a minute, Mark, you should show this to the GM execs, they surely could use some nice designs because their current line if just... well you know.
