This is such a disturbing video that I am not even sure I should be posting this, but I feel it is important for people to see what happens if you crash full speed into a truck. This unlucky soul had no chance surviving the crash; no technology in the world would save you from surviving a 210km/h (look at the speedometer) crash into the back of a big truck. The Firefighters had trouble pulling out the car as it was completely buried underneath the truck.
While it is nice to have a fast car, an E 55 AMG in this case, it is important to keep yourself and other safe. There are plenty of ways to challenge your car, and see what it got, but you just don’t do it at night or on public roads.

that is amazing how the speedo lists the speed at the time the driver crashed.
if you are going to drive such a beast of a car, you must use extreme caution…

This accident happend on an autobahn, in Germany 70% of highways are limit speed free. But in this case I thing the guy was asleep because it’s hard to understand how you can hit a truck on a straight line. And 210 km/h on this kind of car is not a very dangerous speed the car can be controled easily. R.I.P. for this guy or girl and my god help his soul and his family.

It may have been possible that he/she fell asleep, but I am not sure if someone would drive that fast and fall asleep. If the speedo is telling the right speed (looking at the damage that probably was the speed) then I am pretty sure nobody would be able to fall asleep, they would be too excited and afraid no to be on high alert.
Not really sure how it happend, but just like you said, R.I.P
