DaimlerChrysler November sales up 4.7%
DaimlerChrysler had a solid run in November, selling a total of 164,556 vehicles compared to 159,898 in November 2005, that's a change of 4.7 percent.

Chrysler division sales rose 2.9 percent, while Mercedes sales jumped 21 percent to 22,079 from 18,284 in the year-ago period.

Company officials credited the increase to a 57 percent surge in sales of the division's light trucks.

So far this year, DaimlerChrysler sales are down 5.9 percent to about 2.2 million vehicles, compared with about 2.3 million vehicles at the same time last year.

DaimlerChrysler shares fell 42 cents to $57.86 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
